"KLETSKOPPEN" ∙ RECIPE BY GUEST EVELIEN

ingredients for 12 cookies

115 g butter

115 g fine crystal sugar

4 tablespoons maple syrup

115 g pastry flour

1 teaspoons ginger powder

2 tablespoons cognac (or whiskey)

instructions

preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius. cut the butter in smaller pieces and melt them in a saucepan on a low heat. stir in the sugar and maple syrup until it is completely solved. remove the saucepan from the heat.

sieve the flour and the ginger powder and stir in the butter mixture. add the cognac (or whiskey) and stir well until everything is mixed. let the dough cool down and get a bit of a solid structure.

scoop small balls of dough with 2 tablespoons on a baking tray covered with baking paper. leave 5 cm between the balls because the cookies will get bigger. bake them golden brown for 6-7 minutes. scoop them on a griddle to cool down.
