LAST MINUTE FESTIVE TIPS
last year I decided to inspire my followers with LAST MINUTE FESTIVE TIPS. I was in a very creative mood and wanted to share this creativity. the most important message in these tips was to use everything you have at home to add something more to your table setting. today, we get overwhelmed with new brands and new products that make us buy more and more so I wanted to show you simple adds to make your table count!
this first tip is a simple table setting with the tableware you have at home. and if you like to add flowers, you can just buy flowers (or use dry ones - even better!) for every guest and tape them with paper tape on the plates. put some vases with water and green in the middle of the table. when dinner gets served, you can ask your guests to put the flowers in to the vases so you have a beautiful centerpiece in the middle for the rest of the night. it’s up to you whether you choose to have different flowers on every plate or just the same for everyone.
to continue with the flowers. for your cocktails and appetizers, you can make playful glasses with these glass tubes with flowers. you add a bit of water in the glass tubes to be sure that the flowers stay pretty.
use the glass tubes as spoons to stir your cocktail or aperitif. when you use new glasses for dinner, you can just leave the glasses with the flowers on the table as decorations.
'“how should I fold my napkins” is a question that is often asked. it’s possible to be very creative with napkins, I prefer the ones of fabric instead of paper. most of the time I make my napkins myself using a piece of fabric in a color that matches my table setting. I like cutlery to be part of the decorations and not just laying next to the plates.
an easy way to introduce them to your table setting is to combine cutlery and napkins together as on this picture. I just turned the napkin around the cutlery and made a knot. to make it even more festive and special, add a small flower and place the cutlery with the napkin on the plate. ready to eat!
