homemade ginger lemonade ∙ celebrating spring

ingredients for 1 bottle ginger syrup
250 ml water
150 gram ginger
500 gram cane sugar
ingredients for 1 carafe ginger lemonade
a bottom of ginger syrup
1 L sparkling water
at first, make the ginger syrup by heating the water with the sugar on a low fire. make sure the sugar dissolves. peel the ginger en blend into pulp. add the ginger to the water and sugar and let it cook to just the boiling point. cook it slowly for 5 minutes.
let the syrup cool down. sift the ginger 2 or 3 times and pour it into the Giara bottle.
to make the ginger lemonade, add a bottom of ginger syrup to each glass. fill the rest of it with sparkling water and finish with ice cubes, fresh mint and slices of lemon.
